Ich berate Industrieunternehmen bei Einführung und Betrieb von Supply-Chain-Planungssystemen und baue daneben kleine, saubere Web- und Mobile-Anwendungen. Beides folgt derselben Haltung: Ich will ein Problem verstehen, bevor ich Werkzeuge auspacke. I advise manufacturers on introducing and running supply chain planning systems and alongside that I build small, clean web and mobile applications. Both follow the same stance: I want to understand a problem before I reach for the tools.

Seit 2018 begleite ich Implementierung und Optimierung von Planungssystemen – meist bei Fertigern in Automotive, Elektronik und Prozessindustrie. Ich kenne Quintiq (Modellierung in Quill, Detailplanung, Optimierung) und FuturMaster/Sunstice für Demand und Supply.Since 2018 I have accompanied the implementation and optimization of planning systems – mostly at manufacturers in automotive, electronics and the process industry. I know Quintiq (modeling in Quill, detailed scheduling, optimization) and FuturMaster/Sunstice for demand and supply.
Konkret heißt das: Ich leite Anforderungs-Workshops, die nicht in Wunschzetteln enden, führe Modell-Reviews durch, die unbequeme Fragen zulassen, und baue Daten-Pipelines, die auch dann funktionieren, wenn ich wieder weg bin.In practice, that means I run requirements workshops that do not end in wish lists, conduct model reviews that allow uncomfortable questions, and build data pipelines that still work once I am gone.
Kleine Software, gut gebautSmall software, well built
Daneben – und manchmal mittendrin – entwickle ich Web- und Mobile-Anwendungen. Einen festen Stack habe ich dabei nicht: Für jedes Problem wähle ich die passende Technologie, vom Web-Frontend über die Datenbank bis zur nativen Android-App. Wenn Planungs- und Produktionsdaten aus den großen Systemen heraus müssen, baue ich die Brücke.Alongside that – and sometimes right in the middle of it – I develop web and mobile applications. I don't have a fixed stack for this: for every problem I choose the technology that fits, from the web front end to the database to the native Android app. When planning and production data has to leave the large systems, I build the bridge.
Dabei bevorzuge ich offene Technologien – nicht aus Prinzip, sondern weil sie uns unabhängig von einzelnen großen Anbietern machen.I prefer open technologies here – not as a matter of principle, but because they keep us independent of any single big vendor.
Wenig versprechen, viel zeigenPromise little, show a lot
Ich übernehme Mandate, in denen klar ist, was am Ende dasteht – und in denen mein Beitrag wirklich gebraucht wird. Einen Prototyp baue ich gerne auch an einem Tag. Am liebsten bleibe ich aber dran: bei Systemen, die über Jahre laufen und für die ich Verantwortung übernehme.I take on engagements where it's clear what the result will be – and where my contribution is genuinely needed. I'm happy to build a prototype in a day, too. But what I like best is sticking around: with systems that run for years and that I take responsibility for.
Parallel zu Beratung und App-Entwicklung baue ich eine eigene Planungssoftware für mittelständische Fertigungsbetriebe. Der Grund: Standardsoftware erzwingt teure Kompromisse – dabei steckt die eigentliche Planungsexpertise in der Konfiguration, nicht im Standardprozess. Wichtig sind mir dabei volle Konfigurierbarkeit statt starrer Standardprozesse und Datensouveränität statt Vendor-Lock-In; betreiben lässt sich die Software wahlweise On-Premise oder in der Cloud. Ein Pilotprojekt ist für 2027 geplant.Alongside consulting and app development, I'm building my own planning software for mid-sized manufacturers. The reason: standard software forces expensive compromises – yet the real planning expertise lies in the configuration, not in the standard process. What matters to me here is full configurability instead of rigid standard processes and data sovereignty instead of vendor lock-in; the software can run either on-premise or in the cloud. A pilot project is planned for 2027.
